The UAE’s peaceful nuclear energy programme needs to attract the best and brightest Emirati science and engineering graduates if it is to meet its long term workforce targets.
This new generation cannot be reached through traditional channels, however. So Four and ENEC have developed the ‘Energy Pioneers’ social media campaign to target young Emiratis with compelling messages about career opportunities, scholarships and public service.
The campaign has marked the first proactive use of social media by ENEC on a corporate level and has resulted in outstanding outcomes. It has attracted more than 10,000 Twitter followers, more than 24,000 LinkedIn followers and more than half a million YouTube views. Our work with ENEC has been named MEPRA’s Best Government Communications in both 2012 and 2013.
