A successful eight-year campaign for a new stadium for Brentford Football Club and a mixed use development. Four secured political support and steered the project through several rounds of public consultation, placemaking workshops and community meetings.
We shaped the messages, chaired the local stakeholder liaison group, played a key role in managing both supporters and hostile meetings, and helped to get political support in the face of public opposition.
This was reinforced by positive PR and harnessing the passion of players and supporters through social media. Following consent we facilitated grassroots petitions to the Mayor of London and Secretary of State – contributing to their support and success.
