As part of our work to position the Andrew Lloyd Foundation as a significant voice in the debate on the arts Four Colman Getty commissioned and project managed a report into the issues around diverse talent in the theatre.
Before launching the report we consulted with key stakeholders including Arts Council England, DCMS and UK Theatre.
Centre Stage found that there is a shortage of trained BAME talent and calls on arts sector bodies, drama schools, philanthropists and the theatre sector to take urgent action.
Coverage highlights included the front page of and an editorial in The Stage, a full page 3 in The Guardian, morning BBC News headlines across the network and a slot on BBC Radio 4’s Today.
The theatre sector has welcomed the report and arts sector bodies are discussing next steps in taking the recommendations forward.
