Hines
Client
Hines is a leading privately owned real estate firm involved in investment, development and property management worldwide. In the UK, Hines is currently involved in the development of approximately two million square feet of space in a variety of sectors and locations, including the £360 million redevelopment of Cannon Street station in partnership with Network Rail.
Objective
Taking a look at one Hines’ project, the redevelopment of Cannon Street station is a complex project to communicate to a wide range of audiences. The objective of the communications campaign at this stage of the campaign is to ensure clarity to internal audiences - the partners working on the scheme - and to external audiences - the 27 million passengers who use Cannon Street station every year.
Solution
Four co-ordinates PR activity, on behalf of Hines, with the stakeholders on the project, including Network Rail, Southeastern, London Underground, and Laing O’Rourke, through regular meetings, workshops and site visits. Strategic media activity, newsletters, station posters and leaflets keep passengers informed, backed by community consultation activity with businesses in the vicinity of Cannon Street station.
Results
The campaign is due to run until 2010 when the scheme, with updates to the station and a new retail and office development, Cannon Place, will be completed. With a wide range of partners, Four has provided an effective interface to ensure that messages are communicated regularly with the input and approval of all parties involved in the scheme.
