Alun was appointed Four Communications Group UK CEO in November 2008 and is responsible for the development and delivery of Four’s integrated offering. 

He joined Four in March 2005 to set up the Four Sports, Arts & Sponsorship (SAS) division.  In three years, Four SAS has won ‘Best Use of PR in a Sports Campaign’ and been short-listed as ‘Sports Agency of the Year’ at the 2008 Sports Industry Awards; topped Marketing Magazine’s Sponsorship League Table as the fastest growing agency; and broken through the £1 million barrier in annual fees.

Clients include: Lloyds TSB/London 2012 sponsorship; Celtic Manor Resort/Ryder Cup 2010; Greene King; the RFU.

Alun arrived from Hill & Knowlton, where he headed up the 25-strong Sports Marketing & Sponsorship practice, was on the operational executive board and was part of the WPP High Performance Group. He led the team that helped London 2012 in its successful Olympic bid. Previously, he was Head of Marketing Communications, International Tennis Federation and Media Director, Alan Pascoe Associates (now part of Octagon). He started in the corporate PR division of Charles Barker.

Alun read Modern History at The Queen’s College, Oxford and has an MBA in Marketing and an MRS Diploma from Cass Business School. He is an active sportsman (rugby, golf, skiing and cricket) and keen climber, traveller and wildlife photographer.

He is listed in the 2007 and 2008 PR Week Power books.
