Four Communications is proud to announce that client Flash Entertainment’s ‘Yasalam’ programme has been nominated as campaign of the year in the Middle East and Turkey region in the 2009 Sabre Awards.
Yasalam, a spectacular entertainment programme of events across Abu Dhabi, was part of the inaugural Formula One™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which helped put Abu Dhabi on the global map. These included concerts by Beyonce, King of Leon, Aerosmith, Jamiroquai and Timbaland as well as big name regional acts who performed as par tof 'Beats on the Beach', car-themed 'Cinema by the Sea' screenings, The Art of Racing Emirati art project and educational outreach.
Four Communications worked on a regional PR programme to raise excitement and engage the community leading up to and during the Formula One™. Combined with traditional media relations, social media was a central part of the campaign, helping to make the project a success. Abu Dhabi and the wider Middle East region not only embraced the event but also understood its significance to the community.
The SABRE awards, administered by the Holmes Group, are some of the most prestigious awards in the public relations industry, spanning North America and Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
