Turning the ‘Big C’ in to the ‘wee c’

Consolidated PR’s Edinburgh team has helped launch a major new cancer initiative designed to change the way Scots view cancer in a bid to reduce fear of the disease and boost survival rates.

The Scottish Government, Cancer Research UK and other leading charities, together with a host of celebrities and cancer survivors, united to launch the ‘wee c’ last week.

The team chose to launch at the Armadillo in Glasgow. 15,800 men and women diagnosed with cancer in Scotland this year will survive compared to 9,500 30 years ago - enough to fill the iconic venue five times over.

Not only did the team secure a double page spread in the Daily Record, it was also covered on BBC Radio Scotland and almost all national papers including the front page of The Scotsman.
