SSL International picks Four SAS for Scholl UK Athletics PR brief

28 February 2008: SSL International has appointed Four Sports, Arts & Sponsorship (Four SAS) to deliver a public relations campaign in support of its Scholl brand's sponsorship of UK Athletics. The appointment follows a three-way competitive pitch.
Scholl has been the Official Footcare Sponsor of UK Athletics since 2006 and this year is seeking to capitalise on increased interest in the sport as a result of the Beijing Olympics. The account will be led by Four SAS Associate, Neil Hopkins, who will report to Scholl Brand Team Leader at SSL International, Heather Lowdon.
Heather Lowdon said: "I was impressed by Four Sports, Arts & Sponsorship's creative approach to our brief. They have developed a campaign that will enable us to regularly communicate Scholl's association with UK Athletics beyond the immediate, vertical audience during a pivotal year for both the sport and brand".
Neil Hopkins said: "SSL International has a significant opportunity to drive awareness of Scholl's sponsorship of UK Athletics in the lead up to the Olympics in Beijing in August. Feet are the most important tool of a track and field athlete's trade and our campaign will be positioning Scholl as the footcare experts when it comes to athletics".
