3rd April 2006 Sporting Equals, the UK's leading body for promoting racial equality in sport, has appointed Four Marketing & Media plc and Goodform Ltd (aided by Nemisys Ltd) to its Sport for Communities communications activity, following a competitive tender process.
Sporting Equals' Communications Manager, Hayley Meachin, said: 'The Sport for Communities project is funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's Invest to Save budget and targets people from ethnic minority, refugee and migrant backgrounds, encouraging them to become involved in sport at all levels. We were looking for a team who could deliver our message to a diverse range of audiences and are confident that this unique partnership between Four and Goodform, with Nemisys Ltd, will do just that.'
Dick Lumsden, who heads up Four's design and marketing team, added: 'We are delighted to be involved at the beginning of what will undoubtedly be an extremely high profile project. Creating the visual identity of Sport for Communities is an exciting challenge and we look forward to working with Sporting Equals in realising their vision.'
Brand identity is a key element of Four's design offering, and the Sport for Communities work follows another recent high profile project - the creation of a visual look for the England Golf Partnership.
