19 March 2007: South Thames College (TCT) has appointed Four Communications to work on a public affairs campaign to raise the profile of the college in advance of major changes to the funding structures for the further education function being put in place this year. The college is examining its positioning, branding, work with employers and community links to prepare itself to meet the challenges of the Further Education and Training Bill and working with the new London Skills and Employment Board.
Four Public Affairs director Jim Dickson said 'we're delighted to be working with a leading London player in a sector which is crucial to the government achieving its objective of matching the best in the world for skills and vital to the prospects for the capital's economy'.
Commenting on the campaign, South Thames College's Principal Sue Rimmer said: 'Four Communications was the natural choice for an agency as the team has an excellent reputation and proven public affairs and stakeholder relations expertise. This is an exciting period for South Thames College, and the wider Further Education Sector, and we look forward to achieving some great results with Four Communications over the coming months.'
The team is led by Jim Dickson with support from account director Ralph Scott. Four Communications will begin work immediately.
