This week, Four Broadgate has been busy working with Dr Edward Wright, virologist and senior lecturer in Medical Microbiology at the University of Westminster, to raise his profile as a leading commentator on the Ebola virus in the aftermath of Scottish nurse Pauline Cafferkey’s relapse.
The team secured over 40 TV and radio broadcast interviews for Dr Wright. His comments were also included in over 20 articles from national, regional and international media outlets, with further opportunities being scheduled as the story continues to develop.
Four Broadgate started working with Dr Wright during the initial Ebola virus outbreak in Africa last year. As a result of their media push, the University of Westminster was awarded a £620,000 grant from the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Wellcome Trust to develop an Ebola diagnostic device. Four Broadgate also worked with the University to announce the grant award, generating over 300 pieces of coverage across national, broadcast, regional and trade press in seven countries, including the UK., Greece, US, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
