Overwhelming response to Four grad scheme

 

22 June 2009, London: Today saw 21 young, bright minds fight it out in Leicester Square for a position on Four Communications’ prestigious graduate scheme, which is now in its fourth year.
 
This year’s scheme has seen greater demand than ever before, with nearly 500 applications for coveted positions in Four’s offices in the UK and Middle East.  In previous years, successful applicants have won executive roles in Four’s consumer and corporate PR, marketing, digital and media planning and buying practices and positions in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) as well as London.
 
The quality of applicants was incredibly high, and only the very best made it through to today’s assessment day.  Attendees were put through their paces by the company’s senior management, including Group chief executive Nan Williams, UK chief executive Alun James and founding partners Einir Williams and Tim Lewis.
 
Tasks included initiative and presentation tests, digital and offline writing tasks, round-table discussions and ‘just a minute’ style improvisation trials, alongside a series of interviews.
 
Four Communications began its graduate scheme in 2006 and view it as one of its most important recruitment streams across all areas of the business.  Graduates from previous years now play crucial creative and account manager roles on some of Four’s most well-known clients such as HSBC, Sony PlayStation, Nakheel and the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport.
