Four’s digital team is gearing up to launch one of the industry’s most cutting-edge puns next week.
As part of the inaugural crowd-sourced Internet Week festival, the agency will be celebrating the similarity of their name and address (Four, Leicester Square) to popular location-based social network Foursquare with an attempt on one of social media’s highest badges of honour: the Swarm badge.
Four is hoping an offer of free drink to the first fifty to turn up and a selection of retro candy will entice Foursquare users heading to other Internet Week events to pop by.
To take part, Foursquare users must check in to Leicester Square between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday 9 November, and come find our team outside the Communications Building. The first fifty to check-in and show their phones will receive a free drink at the agency’s local public house, the Imperial.
Phil Ryan, Four’s Head of Digital, said:
As a leading communications agency, we keep abreast of all developments in the digital space. But of course there will always be a soft spot in our heart for Foursquare. I hope London’s digital masses will join us in appreciation of a good pun and a free drink and look forward to seeing some new faces in our very own Four Square on Tuesday.
