At the prestigious PR Week Awards on 20 October 2009, Four Communications was rated the 'Highly Commended' International Agency of the Year.
Said Nan Williams, Group chief executive: " Our competitors were the giants of the PR world - and so it was a privilege to be shortlisted. But to scoop second place behind the largest PR company in the world is a real testimony to the unique international positioning and offer that we have developed here at Four. This makes Four the silver medallist in the competition between international consultancies. Quite a David and Goliath moment!"
Unlike its rivals Four started as an agency only eight years ago with just seven people. It is one of the fastest-growing independent agencies anywhere and is breaking through with its new international PR model. Four's dual hub international strategy - with core bases in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates - allows the firm to service global communications campaigns effectively through its international affiliate network. And the development of Four's suite of proprietary international digital communications management tools - The Centre - gives international campaigns additional power, accountability and the ability to coordinate more effectively.
