Helping deliver social change with Lloyds Banking Group

Four’s Sponsorship and Sport team recently helped launch recruitment for the ‘Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme’ - an initiative designed to encourage entrepreneurs across the UK with a passion for social change to turn their ideas into reality.

The programme, run in partnership with the School for Social Entrepreneurs, offers a £4,000 grant for start-ups and £15,000 for scale-ups, as well as a business mentor from Lloyds Banking Group and a fully-funded place on a 14-day learning course, with taster sessions being run throughout January, February and March showcasing the fantastic opportunities on offer.

The team is delivering a nationwide community campaign to encourage engagement from entrepreneurs, and has achieved coverage in local newspapers and specialist business and third sector websites. They have also been creating case studies and short films to illustrate the diversity and creativity of entrepreneurs who have graduated from the programme, including Lauren Roffey, founder of Baked: Cake with a Cause, a cake shop with a social conscience, and Matt Kitson of Driftwood Cinema which delivers mobile cinema events in the rural communities of Scotland.
