23 June 2009: Four Sports, Arts & Sponsorship has made two senior appointments to its arts offering.
Michelle Wright has been appointed Head of Arts to cover Rachel Clarke’s maternity leave period while Emily Droy, joins as Account Director.
Michelle Wright joins Four from the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), where as Development Director she was responsible for the management and ongoing development of major seven-figure sponsorships with UBS, Takeda and Rolls-Royce. This included securing the accolade of 2007 Arts and Business Champion of the Year for the UBS and LSO sponsorship. Prior to LSO, Michelle held a number of other senior development and communications roles in the arts and charity sectors.
Emily Droy joins Four Communications from the British Film Institute (BFI), where as Head of Sponsorship she managed partnerships with The Times, Hewlett Packard and a host of supporting partners to the BFI. Prior to the BFI, Emily held new business and sponsorship account management positions at Tate, Performance (part of MindShare) and Sponsorship Consulting Ltd.
UK chief executive, Alun James, said: “These hires further reinforce Four's arts sponsorship and public relations offering and support our growing client base. Michelle and Emily are charged with maximising opportunities and the profile of our offer at a time when the arts sector faces significant economic pressure.”
Four advises major companies and organisations on their cultural sponsorship programmes. It also uses industry insight and expertise to help cultural organisations seeking sponsorship.
Recently, Four has undertaken international assignments in China, the Middle East and across Europe, and has successfully promoted world class venues and destinations including Liverpool, Capital of Culture 2008 and Homecoming Scotland.
