Four supports PRWeek's mentoring project for next generation of female comms leaders

Four’s Group CEO, Nan Williams, has signed up to support PRWeek's recently launched mentoring scheme designed to tackle the lack of female leaders in communications. Nan is one of 15 PR leaders who have pledged to mentor women with the aspiration and potential to run multinational agencies (or major in-house departments).

At the heart of the initiative is that while 63% of the industry’s employees are women, this isn’t reflected in the boardrooms of the UK’s biggest agencies. Nan and the senior team are proud that this isn’t the case at Four, where seven of the ten company statutory directors across the Group are women.

Nan Williams said of the scheme "I love being in business – and the communications business is one of the most interesting I know. So I leapt at the chance to help more women get to the top and realise their ambitions. It is very important to me to see women equally represented in business, in politics and the media. And PR Week deserves to be applauded for taking the initiative"
