Four North helps secure planning permission for Land Securities, Britain's largest property company

8 June 2008: Land Securities, owners of St Johns Shopping Centre in Liverpool, have been granted planning permission by the City’s planners for their £100 million development proposals for the Centre.

Four North’s involvement began in 2007. Four was responsible for community consultation, including the day-to-day running of a purpose-built Marketing Suite on-site.

The Suite is open daily for members of the public to visit, look at the proposals and give their feedback on the plans. The suite will remain open for the rest of the year and since the Suite opened hundreds of people have visited to have a look at the proposals and give their feedback.

Tom Venner, Retail Development Manager for Land Securities said:

"Four Communications continues to provide a comprehensive Public Affairs and Public Relations service to Land Securities in respect of the proposed redevelopment of the St. Johns Centre, Liverpool. In all aspects of the work provided, whether managing the pre-planning public consultation, liaison with local interest groups, political figures, or communication with the Press, Four Communications has gone the extra mile to deliver an exemplary level of service."

The redevelopment of St Johns will be phased and is expected to be completed in 2012.
