Four’s Digital practice has launched the redesigned website for Discover Ferries, the consumer-facing industry body for the ferry industry.
The website, www.discoverferries.com, went through a complete redesign and refresh of its design and functionality – now also including a short video guide highlighting the experience of travelling by ferry. The new website offers a one-stop-shop for all the information consumers need to plan a getaway by sea.
William Gibbons, director of Discover Ferries, says: “We are delighted to be re-launching the Discover Ferries website and have worked hard to ensure it’s easy to navigate and remains user friendly, whilst also being informative. On the home page, a prominent twitter feed and large banner area highlighting some of the main reasons to travel by ferry, as well as a very useful video-guide, will hopefully help inspire visitors to book their next travel by ferry.”
A redesigned simplified mapping page has been added to the website – making it easier to understand and to use. Clicking on an individual port will bring up all the routes which operate through it and users can then click through directly from a route to a company page to book.
A new Ferry Members overview page allows users to view all the routes operated by a particular company. They can also filter companies by the regions that they serve.
Visitors to the website can choose from a variety of exciting UK and European destinations as diverse as the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Scottish Isles, to Belgium, France, Holland, Ireland and even Spain. Plus, taking a ferry means no stressful check-in queues, passengers can take all their possessions and luggage and get plenty of room on board to relax and get into the holiday mood.
