Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), the owner-operator of airports throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has appointed Four Communications Group to build its profile amongst airlines and travellers.
The fast-growing operator, which has seen passenger numbers leap more than 35 per cent to almost six million so far in 2008, has retained Four Communications’ Abu Dhabi office to run a multi-stakeholder communications programme, following a competitive tender process.
The agency’s London-based aviation and travel group is also being used on a project basis, following support for ADAC’s activities at this year’s Farnborough Air Show.
Andrew Jones, head of communications for ADAC, said:
“ADAC is already one of the fastest-growing airport businesses in the world but we have ambitious goals for the future. Strategic communications of ADAC’s vision and the benefits we can bring to airlines, to businesses and to travellers, will play an important role in our future development.
“Four’s team in Abu Dhabi understand that vision and can help us to communicate it across the region and internationally. The agency also offers real depth of understanding of the aviation sector, which is critical for us.”
Ray Eglington, managing director – international of Four Communications Group, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with ADAC. The organisation has some exciting plans for the future and we are looking forward to communicating those across the region and across the industry.”
