Last night saw Four Communications celebrate the opening of the agency’s inaugural art exhibition in its Leicester Square offices.
Following an open call for submissions in late September, artist Patrick Simkins was selected for his ‘Impressions of London’ portfolio. The exhibition, of the same name, will be on display in the run up to Christmas in the first of a planned series of shows throughout the next year.
Patrick Simkins, a professional artist based at the Wimbledon Arts Studios, paints striking abstract cityscapes of well known and sometimes obscure London viewpoints. Finding a balance between the placid historic architecture and the rush of the streets below, the works display the vibrancy of our multicultural city while maintaining its traditional forms.
Rachel Clarke, Head of Arts, said; “We were delighted with the quality and volume of submissions that we received but Patrick stood out for his ability to capture London in such an enthralling way. Each piece invites the viewer to look for the detail, discover different views of London landmarks and enjoy a fresh perspective on the Capital. We hope this show will inspire our colleagues and clients and we look forward to an exciting year ahead of exhibitions showcasing the work of new and emerging talent in the art world.”
