Four Communications shortlisted for CIPR Excellence Award

London, 21 April 2009: Four Communications, the leading independent international communications agency, has been shortlisted for an Excellence Award by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for a major UK cultural campaign.

Four, along with client the Liverpool Culture Company, will compete as a finalist for the title of Best Consumer Relations Campaign for its work promoting Liverpool as the European Capital of Culture 2008.
The award is the UK PR industry’s highest accolade, placing Four’s work amongst the very best in the country.  All shortlisted entrants will now be required to attend an interview in front of a panel of judges, comprising senior PR practitioners as well as experts from the fields of business, media, marketing and advertising.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations is the professional body for UK PR practitioners and has over 9,500 members.  The CIPR’s Excellence Award is presented to companies across the UK which have managed exceptional campaigns in communications and public relations.  
Entries are judged on the basis of 6 criteria: strategy, implementation, creativity, evaluation and management, cost effectiveness and final results against the objective.   This year there were over 900 entries entered across the CIPR’s 27 award categories. The winners are to be announced at the CIPR’s Excellence Awards Summer Ball on Tuesday 7th July 2009.
