Four Communications Group, the UK’s fifth largest independent marketing services group, has promoted Alun James to a new role of chief executive of the UK Group companies. He also remains Managing Director of the specialist Sports, Arts & Sponsorship practice. Nan Williams remains Group Chief Executive.
The new appointment will allow Williams more time to focus on driving business between the UK headquarters and Four’s Middle East offices based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, working with Ray Eglington, Managing Director – International, and Einir Williams, Partner, who run the company’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices. James will focus on driving further growth between the UK practices.
“We have established a very strong business in the Gulf over the last three years. It already represents a significant part of our business and is growing fast. The UK-Middle East axis effectively gives our clients a six day week and a ten hour day through the office network. Gulf, clients include Nakheel, Leisurecorp and Etihad Airways,” said Williams. “We will be investing even more in the region in 2009.”
“In the UK, we have an integrated offering – including public relations, public affairs, media planning & buying, design and branding, sponsorship and digital services - with a significant turnover this year. The opportunity is to offer clients even greater efficiencies through value-for-money, integrated communications. .” added James.
