Four Communications celebrates double success at 2008 SABRE Awards

London, 1 June 2009: Four Communications Group plc, the leading independent international communications agency, is delighted to announce that its campaigns for TNT Post UK and Etihad Airways have been given top honours at the 2008 Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation (SABRE) Awards.
The awards celebrate outstanding communications work across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and mark industry excellence in a number of communications categories.
Receiving the award for Best Business to Business Marketing Communications Campaign was TNT Post UK’s campaign to demonstrate the benefits of competition in the UK postal market. 
Four, alongside TNT Post UK’s in-house team, sought to create a platform for stakeholder engagement and to raise the company’s profile amongst companies from SMEs to large public and private sector bodies, using a mix of commissioned research and response to external reviews to achieve a massive increase in awareness and substantial positive national and regional coverage.
Etihad Airways and Four have triumphed in the Best Corporate Media Relations category, for a successful year which saw the airline sign one of the biggest single orders for aircraft at the Farnborough Air Show. 
The strong in-house team, advised by Four, which manages a global PR network, demonstrated their excellent relationships with media world-wide, generating thousands of pieces of positive coverage for new routes, key sponsorships and the company’s extraordinary record of growth.
Four Communications’ campaigns for the Energy Retail Association, the Liverpool Culture Company and the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council also made it to the finals of their categories, a range which covered communications disciplines from Public Affairs in the UK to integrated marketing in the UAE.
The SABRE awards, administered by the Holmes Group, are given to those which have shown outstanding achievements in branding and reputation. The campaigns are judged against four key values, namely strategy, breakthrough thinking, integrity and effectiveness. 
In the space of a few years the SABRE awards have become established as some of the public relations industry’s most sought after accolades. The final decisions on the SABRE award winners will be made by several experienced public relations and corporate communication experts, and are to be announced in late May 2009.
