Sandie Dawe, the former CEO of VisitBritain with nearly 30 years of tourism experience has been appointed a strategic advisor to Four Communications – a leading integrated marketing communications agency based in London and the Gulf.
Sandie was the architect of Britain’s tourism strategy for the London Olympic & Paralympic Games and she played a major role in the development of the Government’s GREAT campaign which successfully unites the international promotion of Britain under one banner for inward investment, education, trade and tourism. Her expertise includes culture and heritage, business and sport tourism. She is now a Board Member of London & Partners, the Mayor of London’s international promotional body, a Trustee of the Heritage Lottery Fund and Chair of Kids in Museums, an independent charity dedicated to making museums open and welcoming to all families. In 2008 Sandie was awarded an MBE for services to the tourism industry and she received a CBE in the 2015 New Year Honours list.
