Four bgb's managing director, Debbie Hindle, delivered a social media masterclass to a packed audience at this year's World Travel Market. Debbie, a regular speaker on the impact of digital communications on the travel industry at conferences around the world, focused this session on insights into the benefits of working with bloggers and their value to the industry.
Interest in the travel blogging community and the unique engagement opportunities it represents has been growing rapidly in recent years, with conferences springing up in Europe and the US, and many more planned.
The topic of blogging is of increasing importance in the industry, and interest in the session was extremely high. This is despite a lack of widespread engagement across the travel industry to date, with an ad-hoc survey of attendees to the conference carried out during the session suggesting that 4 in 5 of the audience had never worked with travel bloggers before.
