Four Communications has been appointed by Planner Reed to handle the international marketing consultancy for SIMA09, the world’s largest real estate exhibition, to be held in Madrid from 27 to 30 May 2009.
Four’s role includes marketing consultancy outside Spain, working with Planner Reed to deliver its new international marketing strategy for SIMA09, including securing media partnerships, andcreative agency – from developing messaging for key audiences to designing and implementing the advertising campaign, newsletter and other collateral.
SIMA, now in its 11th year, is aimed primarily at end-users while combining a strong trade element through its International Professional Programme (IPP). Over 100,000 people attended last year’s conference of which 80%were end-users, with 20% other delegates. 602 exhibitors covered 861,120 sq ft (80,000 sq m) of exhibition space in five pavilions.
A Planner Reed spokesperson said:
“As the real estate event with the most participants in the whole of Europe, SIMA is already the world’s premier property exhibition and a concept that allows exhibitors to reach a wide range of audiences simultaneously.
“For 2009 we have identified new aims, including an increased international focus and more tools and functions to help improve exhibitors’ return on investment. Four Communications stood out as the consultancy to help us deliver this strategy because of the full service that it offers and a global experience that will help us grow this increasingly important element of the exhibition.”
Andrew Jack, Managing Director of Four Marketing & Media, said:
“Last year SIMA had 250 exhibitors from 35 non-Spanish countries, a 23.7% and 20.6% increase on 2007 respectively, with 2,769 international delegates from 75 countries outside Spain, a 12.5% and 23% increase on 2007. So while SIMA’s strongest areas have traditionally been Spain and Latin America, there is a clear role for a marketing campaign outside Spain to drive attendance and exhibitors and make more of what this conference has to offer a worldwide audience.”
