Four Colman Getty and client GameCity have announced the world’s first dedicated cultural centre for gaming, the National Videogame Arcade (NVA).
Opening in Nottingham’s Cultural Quarter in March 2015, the NVA is being launched to address the need for a home for digital creativity. It will offer a hub for videogame culture in the same way that the British Film Institute offers a dedicated space for film. The NVA will also house a permanent collection from the National Videogame Archive – with everything from the first home console to the original Star Wars Cockpit Cabinet.
Coverage included interviews with GameCity director Iain Simons on Radio 4’s Today and BBC Radio 5 Live, print pieces in the Guardian and The Times and online coverage from The Telegraph.
Four Colman Getty is now in discussion with GameCity ahead of the NVA’s grand opening next Spring.
