Consumer Focus appoints Four

5th September 08: Consumer Focus, the new statutory consumer body created from the merger of the National Consumer Council, energywatch and Postwatch, has appointed Four Communications to provide support for its public relations and public affairs activity.

The appointment was made following a competitive pitch in August 2008. Ed Mayo, Chief Executive of Consumer Focus, said: “Four Communications demonstrated a strong understanding of our issues and had an innovative and creative approach that reflected the aspirations of our new organisation.”

Nan Williams, Chief Executive at Four Communications, said “Consumer Focus will play a vital role in representing consumer interests across all sectors and we look forward to supporting them through this exciting and challenging time.”

The team will be led by Nan Williams, and they will report in to Rob Forsyth, External Communications Lead for the Consumer Focus start-up team, which is managing the merger.
