25 October 2007: Four Communications, in collaboration with Barclaycard, came 'Highly Commended' at this year's PR Week Awards' for its role in delivering the Barclaycard 40th Birthday PR campaign. The awards evening, held at Grosvenor House on 24 October, saw Four Communications compete against four other finalists in the Financial Category. Challenged with the backdrop of increased scrutiny on lenders, the aim of the campaign was to generate positive brand recognition for Barclaycard by demonstrating the revolutionising role it has played in the credit card market and wider economy over the past 40 years. With over 100 pieces of positive coverage in national, regional, trade and broadcast media, the results of the campaign not only surpassed all expectations but also translated into an incredibly cost effective profile raising tool for Barclaycard.
