Orpic
Client
Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company was created from the integration of Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company LLC (ORPC), Aromatics Oman LLC (AOL) and Oman Polypropylene LLC (OPP). Four was retained to help develop a brand and visual identity for the new company.
Objective
Our key objective was to create a brand of which employees – and Oman – would be proud. This had to be a brand that came from within; one to which all employees felt they had been able to contribute.
Solution
In a fully integrated campaign, Four Communications worked with the client on all levels, from development of the company’s brand strategy, to creation of the new name and visual identity, to the roll out.
Four’s team was implanted into the company over three months, working with the Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Taskforce on the brand and communications project. Together, the Taskforce and Four involved more than 600 employees in the brand development process.
Results
Orpic, the new name and brand for Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company, was launched in June 2011 to 1,600 employees at events in Muscat and Sohar.
Mr. Musab Al Mahruqi, Chief Executive Officer of Orpic, said:
“The launch of the new name and company brand marks another step in the evolution of this company into an integrated Omani refining and petrochemicals business we are proud of.
“Our new brand identity is fresh and modern, and represents perfectly our position as a modern and forward-thinking company.”
Ray Eglington, managing director of Four Communications Group, said:
“This has been a truly integrated communications campaign, with the brand and communications reflecting the views and aspirations of the company’s employees.
“Orpic is a simple, clear and distinctive identity, which will stand out in Oman and across the sector.”
Orpic’s Communications Taskforce – including Mohammed Al Mujaini, Ahmed Al Naqbi, Omer Al Fadl, Abdulrahman Al Yahyaee, Lujaina Al Rumhy, Prue Drever and David Keat – was supported by Four’s creative, digital, marketing and public relations teams.
The new brand launched with major employee engagement events, a wide range of collateral, national advertising and a new website, www.orpic.om, all in Arabic and English.
