Nakheel is the Dubai master developer responsible for some of the most awe-inspiring projects of recent times. Its portfolio includes the Palm trilogy - Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira; The World – 300 exclusive islands in the shape of the world; and Waterfront - a city within a city for 1.7 million people. Nakheel is part of the Dubai World group of companies.
Objective
While there was widespread awareness of some of Nakheel’s landmark projects, there was limited understanding or appreciation of the company behind them. Four’s task was to raise the profile of Nakheel as an innovative, entrepreneurial company and to highlight the full scope of its business activities in Dubai and internationally.
Solution
A proactive and reactive media programme commenced, covering all of Nakheel’s corporate activity in addition to its range of waterfront and desert developments. Working hand in hand with the in-house team, Four led a sustained media relations programme, managing a busy press office and ensuring access to key spokespeople across all aspects of the business – from investments, to hotels, to joint ventures and international divisions. In addition, creative platforms for launches and projects were developed, coupled with site visits, international press trips and dedicated media briefings to engage and inspire.
Results
Acres of print and broadcast coverage stretching into every corner of the globe, and a growing understanding of the company behind those amazing projects. In research with 70 media outlets in the GCC and internationally, Nakheel ranked top for media relations activity among UAE developers, and the company was judged to be the nation’s most ambitious and visionary developer.
