Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR)
Four Colman Getty has worked with the AGR since 1999 positioning the organisation as an authoritative commentator and thought-leader on higher education, recruitment and employment issues. We have also established the AGR’s Chief Executive Carl Gilleard as the number one media spokesperson on graduate recruitment in the UK placing interviews for him across high profile national and international print, broadcast and online media outlets.
We publicise AGR’s biannual surveys about graduate vacancies, major research reports and special projects, such as the AGR manifesto. Ahead of the 2010 UK General Election we worked with AGR, to create and publish a manifesto that set out its position (and that of its 750 members) on a number of weighty issues currently facing higher education and graduate employment in the UK.
We launched the manifesto with a news story, generating widespread national media coverage in the Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Independent (including a double page spread and a leader), the Financial Times and the Daily Mail. AGR’s Chief Executive, Carl Gilleard, was interviewed on a number of agenda-setting broadcast programmes, including BBC Radio 4’s Today.
Four Colman Getty also runs a year-round press office for AGR, publicises its annual conference and has recently started supporting AGR on digital and social media, and its communication with members.
Carl Gilleard said: “Our relationship with CG goes from strength to strength. Their intelligent approach to the handling of AGR’s public image over the years has undoubtedly helped to establish us as an industry thought-leader and as the first port of call for media comment on the most pressing recruitment and HR issues of the day. In a world where all of us are competing for business and at a time when graduate recruitment is under intense financial pressure, CG’s advice on how best to present ourselves to the outside world is more vital than ever.”
