Account manager - Four Health


  • Healthcare communications experience, ideally with a strong focus on medical communications
  • Experience of working within an agency environment
  • Experience of working in the UK healthcare environment

Qualification needed

Qualified to degree level, ideally in a science discipline


  • Full time (37.5 hours) 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday with a flexible one hour for lunch (permanent subject to 3 month probationary period)

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic communications programmes for clients
  • Support the Account Lead through effective and efficient management of client programmes
  • Understands the clients environment, can identify what is important to them and prioritises accordingly
  • Organise and attend team and client status meetings, ensuring preparation to ensure productive and efficient use of time 
  • Liaise with clients and provide updates and advice on programme activities
  • Draft programme materials, e.g. press releases, medical backgrounders, meeting agendas, briefing documents, proposals and Project Specification Sheets
  • Work with the media, building relationships; understanding their agenda and identifying ways to pitch a story
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties (KOLs, patient organisations and payers)
  • Organise and implement client events including the overseeing of actions and timings and liaising with expert speakers
  • Evaluation of client programmes
  • Manage client budgets including monthly client billing and invoicing, overseeing expense management and budget reporting


  • Assist with new business by conducting research, helping to develop new business proposals and presenting at pitch
  • Proactively share knowledge with the junior members of the Four Health Communications team
  • Actively participate in designated Four Health Communications activities, e.g. operational and knowledge hubs as appropriate
  • Actively coach and develop junior team members and implement personal development scheme for line reports
  • Ensure effective communication across the company sharing best practice
  • Adheres and encourages others adherence to Four Health Communications policies and processes
  • Any other duties as agreed
