Service Design Network

Four Colman Getty’s Jane Acton and Miriam Dennis were approached by the Service Design Network to deliver their inaugural one day Conference in London last month for new and existing members, with the aim of growing support and awareness of the industry and important of Service Design.

Less than a week on from ‘Brexit’, on 30 June, over 180 cross-industry attendees, speakers and volunteers crowded into RIBA on Portland Place for a jam-packed programme of talks including presentations from; Louise Downe, Head of Design for UK Government, Stephen Graham, Service Design Lead for TFL/Deloitte, Emma Watkin for Virgin Media and Dr. Nick de Leon for the Royal College of Art.

Delegates and speakers were impressed with the quality of content and organisation around the event, with many commenting on the quality of the organisation and calibre of work being shown.

Alongside the Conference, the team ran the highly successful digital campaign which lead to a 10% rise in twitter followers,  119% increase in tweet impressions from May (31.4K) to June 2016 (68.9K) demonstrating a rise in tweet visibility, 194% increase in mentions during the month of the conference showing people are talking about the conference and the SDN UK chapter.
