The summer is traditionally the silly season and can be a time when the softer arts news stories find a bit more breathing space in the media. Not so this year...
We’ve worked hard to break arts news stories for our clients this month with some notable successes. We announced a major find on DigVentures’ crowdfunded Lindisfarne archaeological dig, with an interview on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and a Press Association story which was picked up by Daily Mail online.
On the same day, we launched the competition for Sky Arts Fake! The Great Masterpiece Challenge with coverage on BBC Breakfast and in The Times, i, The Guardian, The Week, The Week Junior, Heart FM and Telegraph online.
The day after Andrea Leadsom withdrew from the Conservative leadership race, we placed a half-page news story in The Guardian about Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation’s newly commissioned research on diversity in theatre, which has caused masses of ongoing debate.
