Our Digital and Marketing team have been busy working on a brilliant social media campaign to promote Midnight in Berlin by James MacManus.
Published on 21 January by Duckworth, Midnight in Berlin is a gripping historical fiction novel based on the true story of Colonel Noel Mason-MacFarlane and his plan to assassinate Hitler. This month James’ Twitter following soared and his tweets received a boost of over 1,400% more impressions. An advert on Facebook engaged over 900 avid readers, reaching more than 100K people. James’ website has also been updated and there is some interesting new blog and video content (including a terrific piece on Hemingway).
This work supports a successful PR campaign for the book, which included interviews on BBC Robert Elms and Sky Murnaghan, a lovely double spread in the Sunday Times and a selection of glowing reviews for the ‘cracking novel’ (Daily Mail). Copies of Midnight in Berlin have been selling fast, and there was a wonderful turn out for the launch evening at the Polish Club.
Photos can be found on Facebook and include Michael Hall, the grandson of Mason-MacFarlane and of course, members of the Four Colman Getty team!
