ILM case study: Managers miss out on summer holidays

Hot on the heels of a report revealing the amount of overtime being put in by UK managers, the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) ended the summer with the publication of a new report into annual leave uptake.

Four Colman Getty developed the survey, analysing data from more than a thousand ILM members. The study’s findings uncovered that more than 40 per cent of managers did not take all of their annual leave in 2013. More shockingly, the report also found that one in 20 managers lost at least a week of annual leave, possibly leaving workers stressed and less productive as a result.

We generated national media coverage for the survey including pieces in The Times, Daily Mail, BBC News, HR Magazine, HR Review and Press Association as well as more than 60 online and regional articles nationwide.
