The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), the leading voice of graduate recruiters and developers and longstanding client of Four Colman Getty, has had a busy month. Its Summer Conference, which this year moved to Liverpool as part of the International Festival of Business, took place at the beginning of July. This was closely followed by the launch of the summer 2014 edition of its bi-annual graduate recruitment survey.
The survey provides the most extensive and detailed insight into the state of the graduate jobs market available and is based on the responses of 189 AGR members in the UK across 17 sectors, which will provide an estimated 22,076 graduate vacancies in 2014.
Zoë Penn and Alex Bevis, from the Campaigning team, secured top-quality media coverage for the survey, revealing a 17% rise in graduate vacancies, along with the latest statistics on the availability of student placements and internships and graduate retention rates and salary progression.
There were pieces in The Times, City AM, The Telegraph, BBC News Online and Daily Mail as well as in various key trade publications. Stephen Isherwood, the chief executive of the AGR was also interviewed about the results on the BBC News Channel.
