Four Colman Gettty: November Team Highlights

On the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination the campaigning team set up interviews with the Professor Tony Badger, Chair of the Kennedy Memorial Trust, with BBC Radio 2’s JFK: Minute by Minute and BBC Radio 5 Live’s Phil Williams programme. Former Kennedy Scholars Camilla Cavendish and Kwasi Kwarteng MP discussed Kennedy’s legacy on BBC2’s Daily Politics. We secured an interview in the Metro and have gained coverage in the local media, including Romford Recorder, The Essex Enquirer and Ballymena Times. Kerwin Hack, Head of Delivery at Fairplace Cedar was interviewed for BBC Radio 5Live about redundancy, following job cuts at BAE. Meanwhile Fairplace Cedar CEO Penny de Valk was featured twice in HR trade magazine askGrapevine regarding her views on the new John Lewis Christmas advert and Prince Charles 65th birthday. This month Penny also penned a blog for the Huffington Post about developing women into leadership positions. Today, Friday 29 November, His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge visited the newly opened Library of Birmingham. The Duke was then taken down to the Children’s Library where he was presented with a Library Card for HRH Prince George and copies of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and Santa is coming to Birmingham by Steve Smallman by Children’s Services Manager, Linda Monk.  He was introduced to Sarah Penny, Children’s Services Coordinator and James Allan, Head Teacher of Chandos Primary School in Highgate, whose Year 2 pupils (aged 6/7) took part in a storytelling session, led by children’s librarian, Amanda Murphy. Four Colman Getty has also been awarded the brief, following a competitive tender, for HOME, a new arts centre opening in Manchester in Spring 2015!
