Cook 5

Our marketing and PR teams at Four Colman Getty have been working on an exciting nationwide campaign with Leon Restaurants.Henry Dimbleby and John Vincent, the founders of Leon, challenged us to support them in fulfilling their ambition of getting kids of all ages and abilities to cook. And thus, Cook 5 was created!A fully integrated campaign, we worked with Leon to create the framework for Cook 5 – including competition rules, prizes and how entries would be judged. The next step was to build a website that allowed Cook 5 participants to find out more information, gain access to Leon recipes and upload their own attempts at cooking savoury meals of their choice.Finally, we teamed up with The Times Weekend to launch on 16th February with a creative competition which sees entrants submitting their own, easy to make recipes to be judged by a panel of revered culinary experts including Raymond Blanc.The result was over 1,000 unique visits to on the first day, with 100s of under 16 year olds registering within the first week and a warm reception from the UK press including press appearances on programmes including BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4 Today Programme, BBC Radio 5 Live Richard Bacon, BBC GNS and a brilliant live web chat with the Times Education Supplement.
