Chinese New Year

Four Colman Getty worked with Four Travel on Chinatown and Chinese New Year to herald the Year of the Monkey.

The London Chinese New Year parade took place on Sunday 14 February in Trafalgar Square, Chinatown and Charing Cross Road, and was the biggest of its kind outside Asia. The celebration featured wonderful performances from Szechuan Opera and the Beijing Children’s Choir.

Ahead of the big day there was a photo call in Trafalgar Square with Deputy Mayor Roger Evans, a live BBC Breakfast slot from Chinatown and photo shoots with Getty Images and Visit Britain, as well as a drumming group appearance on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. On the day of the parade there was a wide array of coverage including two hours of Chinese New Year on London Live, a segment on Sky News and even a curated selection of the best tweets on Twitter Moments.
